SLCGA ASSISTANT COMPETITIONS SECRETARY: For job description click here

Selection process:

SLCGA Executive committee will decide which candidate is most suitable and she will be proposed by her Home club and seconded by another Somerset club for ratification at the AGM

  • Main objectives:

  • To assist in running County competitions and Championships

  • To update results of Knock out cups

  •  

  • Personal qualities:

  • Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new systems

  • Golfing experience

  • Knowledge of Competitions and Handicap

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Selection process:

SLCGA Executive committee will decide which candidate is most suitable and she will be proposed by her Home club and seconded by another Somerset club for ratification at the AGM

  • Main objectives:

  • To administrate the association.

  • Work with the SLCGA Association President to fix a workable schedule of dates for meetings.

  • To deal with correspondence and inform the President and the Executive committee.

  • To attend County meetings and to present a report to the delegates at the General meeting.

  • To record and publish minutes of all meetings.

  • To keep Association records up to date

  •  

  • Personal qualities:

  • Good communication skills.

  • Free time which is flexible.

  • Ability to use information technology is essential

  • Excellent organisational skills.

SLCGA JUNIOR ORGANISER: For job description click here

Selection process:

SLCGA Executive committee will decide which candidate is most suitable and make the appointment for ratification at AGM.

  • Main objectives:

  • To promote girls golf within Somerset

  • Work with the SLCGA Association  to fix a workable schedule of dates for meetings, coaching, matches and championships.

  • collect a database of junior girls

  • To attend County meetings and to present a report to the delegates at the General meeting.

  • To liaise with the Junior Committee which is in place to support role of CJO

  • To keep Association records up to date

  •  

  • Personal qualities:

  • Good communication skills.

  • Acknowledge the County Association's responsibility to safeguard the welfare of children taking part in golfing activities organised and operated by the County and ensure that a welcoming environment is provided for all Juniors by adopting a Child Protection Policy and implementing the guidance conatined within the Children in Golf Resource pack

  • Free time which is flexible and be able to spend more than one day away from home

  • Ability to use information technology

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Provide data for DBS checks
