FIRST TEAM EVENTS 2012

Somerset 2nd team foursomes Squad for Enmore Match 5th Feb 2012 –

Pairings were:
Helen Marsh 7 Wheathill and Megan Dennett 10 Enmore
Helen Hayward 6 Taunton and Pickeridge & Leanne Mullen 8 Burnham & Berrow
Tracey Scully 11 Lansdown and Belle Faragher 8 Burnham & Berrow
Annya Patten 9 Wheathill and Tori Watts 12 Farrington

A glorious winters day at Enmore, where the ladies hosted a scratch foursomes match for the 2nd team Squad. We all carried for the day, and stipulated a maximum of 7 clubs. The course was on 18 temporary greens but was in superb condition considering the weather of late. Although shortened by playing to the temps, in this tough format there were no easy holes.
Practice matches such as these allow team spirit to develop, good ideas of strong pairings and much needed support from the wider County community.
Many thanks to Judy Hancock and her team for making the day so successful and well done to my girls for bringing the team home as winners this time! Very much looking forward to Saltford early in March.

Also in the squad for 2012 but not playing at the Enmore practice are Stacie Watts from Long Sutton, Emily Herbert from Taunton & Pickeridge, Ella Nash from Saltford and Claire Popplewell from Cannington.
Our next Practice match is at Saltford when we have 5 pairs playing scratch foursomes against the Saltford Alliance Team. Sunday 11th March first tee 11.45am.
