Senior Captain 2018/19 Carole Paterson.

SCSLGA delegates  and representatives held their first meeting of 2019 at the  Isle Wedmore Golf Club. It was an opportunity for new officers and new delegates along with the established attendee's to to hear and confirm arrangements for 2019, both the  golf events and County Shield / friendly matches.

President Caroline Lumley Frank outlined ideas for introducing a 9 hole event for those ladies that can no longer play 18 holes The President will provide a trophy for the first 9 hole event in 2020.It is evident that many Somerset courses have been measured and assessed for 9 hole.

It was also clarified that if you are a members of SCSLGA and have paid the subscription you are automatically a member of the SW Vets Association. Therefore any affiliated SCSLGA can play in any of the SW Vets events.

Carole Paterson SCSLGA Captain empahized the importance of reserves for the County matches.

Players circumstances often change and they can no longer play in a particular match.

Reserves can be contacted right upto the last minute.

Hilary Dennes SCSLGA Treasurer asked that delegates date their cheques the 1st of the month

they are playing in a match or event. this will avoid cheques potentially going out of date.

Jill Paul Vice-Captain has a good supply of uniform at very reasonable prices.

Jill's details on the web-site if you want to make an order.

Finally the delegates are encouraged to stay for coffee and cakes

after the meeting, this is an opportunity to mix and network.

Next delegates meeting 9th September 2019 at Isle of Wedmore GC.
