Junior Girls Captain Megan

The British College Championship was held over 2 days at Bath Golf Club despite the rain, cold and even the odd snow shower!
Scores from both rounds were added together from both the team & individual rounds which gave the Gold medal to the South West Girls, represented by Megan Dennett (Somerset), Molly Haslam (Devon), Stacy Ford (Devon) & Alice Plumb (Dorset).
Megan finshed 7th overall out of the field of 30, so a great result for both Megan & Somerset!!

4 session were held this summer and 1 in the autumn for juniors girls who were having golf lessons but did not necessarily belong to clubs or have handicaps. The sessions were funded by EWGA and the clubs involved (Mendip Spring, Isle of Wedmore, Taunton Vale and Weston- s-Mare kindly gave us free use of their course/practice facilities and made us feel very welcome. The girls (and one or two boys) thoroughly enjoyed these days and another one is planned for the spring 2013
