Spring Meeting at Taunton Vale Golf Club Tuesday 2nd April

We enjoyed a cold but sunny day at Taunton Vale for the recent Spring Meeting.
Michaela Chivers and her Father who recently donated the Trophy attended all day, walked the course and supported the girls. Later Michaela helped Sally Irlam (County President) at the Presentation. The Ladies Section of Taunton Vale were out in full capacity with the Lady Captain Pat Campbell leading the group of supporters. They all were very helpful on the day. My grateful appreciation to all of them.

The format for the day was welcoming new junior girls/parents, existing squad members and family for golf, lunch and presentation.
Charlotte Humphries from Burnham & Berrow (outgoing Captain) presented the incoming Captain Megan Dennett, Enmore Park, with her badge of office. Tori Watts (Farrington) was appointed as Vice Captain.
The Courtesy cup was awarded to Toria Watts. Paul and John Chivers presented the new Juniors trophy, the Michaela Chivers cup, which will be played for at the Spring Meeting. Photos of all the above are on the left.
SLCGA Junior Girls have 3 x 2013 Junior Club Captains in the team, namely Megan - Enmore, Claire Popplewell - Cannington and Stacie Watts at Long Sutton. What an achievement!!
