Fowler Brooches 27th March 2017
The Fowler Brooches was well attended today at Minehead and West Somerset GC with 64 ladies competing fiercely for the coveted Fowler Brooches in unseasonably blustery cold weather! Congratulations to Kay Beaumont and Gill Barry of Burnham and Berrow who scored 34 points and won overall for the second year.
Burnham and Berrow took the Bath Shield with 66 points (Pauline Thorogood and Judy Schroeder contributed the other 32 points).
There was only one 2 recorded by Cathy Olive and Alysia Rees on the 14th. Maybe a good omen for this year's team with the Captain and Vice-Captain starting a winning trend.
Congratulations to all the winners. Thank you to Ros Chidgey for coordinating all the team of helpers. Good luck to all the Minehead ladies in the coming season. Despite the poor weather I am convinced I saw a swallow.
